How to Cancel or Reschedule Your Examination

You may cancel or reschedule your North Carolina Medication Aide Examination for Adult Care Facilities through one of the following methods:

Online: Log into your Credentia Platform account

By Phone: Contact Credentia at 888-204-6249

Important: Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours (2 days) before your scheduled exam time.

Failure to cancel or reschedule within the required timeframe—or failure to appear for your scheduled exam—will result in the forfeiture of your test fee.

Examination fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.


Absence Policy

Candidates who are late or absent for an examination may submit an excused absence via their Credentia Platform account within fourteen (14) calendar days of the examination date for the following reasons:

  • Illness of yourself or a member of your household
  • Death in the family
  • Traffic accident or ticket
  • Court appearance or jury duty
  • Military duty
  • Weather emergency
  • Incarceration

Required Documentation

Your request must include appropriate documentation, such as:

  • Medical provider’s note for illness
  • Court notice for jury duty
  • Police report or ticket for traffic incidents
  • Official documentation for military service or incarceration
  • Weather-related reports for emergencies

Review Process

  • Requests are typically reviewed within 3–5 calendar days
  • The decision made by Credentia regarding your excused absence is final
