Examination Overview
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) is responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining the examination content
- Establishing eligibility criteria
- Setting examination fees
- Determining the passing score for the Medication Aide Examination for Adult Care Facilities
Examination Format
- The examination consists of 60 multiple-choice questions
- All questions are presented in the English language
- The exam is designed to evaluate the knowledge and skills required of a medication aide in adult care settings
Online Proctoring
- The examination is administered with live online proctoring provided by Credentia
- A proctor (an individual who supervises examinations) will monitor the entire exam session via your workstation's webcam
Retesting Policy
- There is no limit to the number of times a candidate may take the examination
