Testing Policies

This section summarizes the essential testing policies for the North Carolina Medication Aide Examination for Adult Care Facilities. These policies are strictly enforced to maintain the integrity and security of the testing process.


Lateness

  • Plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled examination time.
  • If you are late or fail to bring all required materials, you will not be allowed to take the examination.
  • Your examination fee will not be refunded.

Electronic Devices

The following items are not permitted during testing and must be turned off:

  • Cell phones
  • Pagers or beepers
  • Smart watches
  • Other electronic or recording devices

Security and Cheating

If you give help to or receive help from anyone during the examination, the examination will be stopped. The incident will be reported to the NC DHHS for review, and your examination will not be scored.

  • You may not bring the following items into the examination room:

Eating, Drinking, and Smoking

  • Eating, drinking, or smoking is not allowed during the examination.

Misconduct

  • Any disturbance or misconduct will result in dismissal from the examination.
  • The incident will be reported to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
  • Disciplinary decisions will be made by that agency.

Guests and Visitors

  • No guests, visitors, children, or pets are allowed in the examination area.
